[Eeglablist] converting EEGLAB data back to Neuroscan

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me with a conversion problem?

Once I've run ICA, and removed my unwanted components, I'd really like to return my data to Neuroscan format. I've tried the following, but I must be doing something wrong (the signals look like random noise when I reopen them in Neuroscan):

1. at the Matlab command line I type: data = reshape (EEG.data, (80*3001), 60); (just an example- 80 epochs, 3001 points, and 60 channels)
2. Then I type: save BP_data.asc data -ascii
3. Then, I use the ascii to CNT program from Neuroscans website and a .set file I created from my original neuroscan .eeg file.
4. I open the CNT, and then epoch it using the appropriate epoch interval (in this case, my epochs are 10 seconds long).

The resulting EEG file is junk.

Does anyone know a way to convert the data directly to .eeg format? For me, that would be preferable, because then I could preserve my time scale (that is, the epochs are from -5000ms to 5000ms. When I re-epoch though, I have to make them 0 to 10,000ms).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,, Joe McArdle
