[Eeglablist] 2D electrode positions from Neurosscan files

The readloc script says that EEGLAB will import in ASCII "polar Neuroscan"
data.  I was wondering how I create this file using the Neuroscan
software. I assume I export the .map or the .ast positions. Is that
correct?

Does the resulting .loc file have to be in the same order as the
electrodes? Can the .loc file be a superset of the electrodes or do
I need to remove channel data for channels that don't appear in the
.loc file? Thanks in advance.
