Hi, Prasad,

I think the following two books maybe answer your question about wavelet thresholding or shrinkage for signal denoising.

Statistical Modeling by Wavelets
by Brani Vidakovic

Noise Reduction by Wavelet Thresholding (Lecture Notes in Statistics (Springer-Verlag), 161)
by Maarten Jansen

  Subject: [Eeglablist] about Wavelet Thresholding

  sir,

I'm doing project on Artifact correction for EEG signals using Wavelet based denoising.

Here we are taking the SWT using the COIF3 wavelet which resembles with the Ocular Artifacts( OA ) for the EEG signal and keeping the threshold for it .

The coefficients above the Threshold are made Zero and the EEG is reconstructed .

here the Question is How to set the Threshold? what is the criteria for it

please help me in this regard

  Yours sincerely
  M.N.Prasad
