[Eeglablist] import BDF file data one channel at a time

Hello all,
In my greed to gather data, I generated a massive (~2
gigabytes) .bdf file (Biosemi Data Format) which is
causing me difficulty. I recorded 72 channels at 2048 Hz
sampling rate for 80 min or so. While I know now that
this is not a good idea, I'd still like to use the data.
The only program I can get to open it is EEGLAB, and even
then only if I select chunks of 100 sec or so, otherwise I
get an out of memory error.
My question: is anyone aware of a way to read in one or
two channels (ideally an EEG channel and the event
channel) at a time into EEGLAB, rather than reading all
channels at once? That way I could look at large segments
of the continuous EEG separately for each channel rather
than short snippets of all 72 channels.
Thanks,
Ryan
