[Eeglablist] data import

Hi there.

A very simple question, that I cannot answer: How can I import data into 
EEGlab from a text-file (*.dat). How do the data have to be structured?
I know this is quite basic, but I did not find out yet...
So far my data-file contains 23 electrodes (columns) and 425 time points 
(-200 to 1496msec/250 Hz; rows) for 11 participants (rows). Experimental 
conditions and participant information are stored separately.

Any help is welcome
