Dear all,

I am a beginner in EEG analysis area.

I have a question as below:

How many frequency bands for EEG signal?

Some one says there are 4(($\delta$ 0 - 3.5 Hz), ($\theta$ 3.5 - 7 Hz), ($\alpha$ 7 - 13 Hz)
and ($\beta$ 13 - 30 Hz)), and others say there are 6 (($\delta$ 2 - 4 Hz), ($\theta$ 4 - 8 Hz),
($\alpha$ 8 - 13 Hz) , ($\beta$ 1 13 - 20 Hz), ($\beta$ 2 20 - 35
Hz), and ($\gamma$ 35-46Hz)). Which is more correct?

BTW: I will finish my phd thesis this winter. Now I am seeking one post doctoral position related to EEG signal analysis.
Can anyone or his lab provide such like position?

Thanks for your any comments and suggestions.

Best regards

Liu, Weixiang
