[Eeglablist] eye movement correction

Binaries (DOS/Windows) and C code for the Gratton et al. eye movement
correction procedure (EMCP) are available at:

http://www.umich.edu/~wgehring/emcp2001.zip

The file is also posted at the Neuroscan website, although their support
area is now accessible only by password. I have not heard of EMCP being
implemented in matlab. However, in addition to doing ICA-based ocular
artifact correction, EEGLAB also has the ability to do a regression-based
correction similar to EMCP. Electrical Geodesics also has EMCP implemented
in their system.

I recently compared ICA-based correction and EMCP on the same dataset. At
the level of average waveforms the corrected data were remarkably similar,
but I did not compare the corrected datasets in any depth (single trials,
variability, subsequent ICA analyses, etc.) It seems that ICA should be
less likely to remove non-ocular frontal activity. I'd be interested to know
if anyone has looked at this.
