[Eeglablist] N400 and response to stimuli

Hello,
I am interested in finding out if there is anyone who has solved the
problem of the response to stimuli interfering with the N400. As the N400
is in the 300-500msec range and reaction time is about 500-600msec, the
response to stimuli tends to drag the N400 to the positive (or cover it
altogether). Does anyone know the best way to separate these out in the
data? Is it best to put off a response until 1500msec to ensure that these
do not overlap? or is there another way?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Kind Regards
