[Eeglablist] Importing ACQ data files

For some weeks I have been attempting to use eeglab to analyse BIOPAC
proprietary data files with a .ACQ extension. BIOPAC is used to gather both
human and animal EEG here at the University of New England. As a new post
doc I am trying to promote the application of ICA and related tools to
future analysis of this data (BIOPAC software is largely limited to simple
spectral band power and averaging). My, as yet unsolved, initial problem is
simply being able to import data from these files into eeglab. Amongst
other things I attempted this with the biosig plugin without success. After
contacting Alois at biosig he emailed me a zipped pre-release version of
Biosig.071 which he suggested should do the job.
I extracted the contents to the plugins folder in eeglab and installed this
version. Upon then attempting to import the .ACQ file through the biosig
plugin in eeglab the command window reads:

Importing data
Warning: COLON arguments must be real scalars

Then an eeglab popup box appears with this error message:

Reference to nonexistent field 'NRec'

In the box, Load data using BIOSIG --pop_biosig() I leave the channel
list empty (which I assume selects all channels by default) and leave
Force data type at autodetect.
I would certainly appreciate any suggestions or assistance as to where I
should go from here.

  Thanks

Graham
