<div>A post-doctoral Research Associate position is available to work with members of the Audiology and Deafness Research Group on an exciting MRC-funded project focussing on the development of an objective audiological test-battery. Applications are invited from
researchers with a background in software development, signal processing, audiology, electrophysiology or other hearing related discipline. Knowledge of Matlab or C++, databases, data analysis skills, and excellent writing skills are essential. You should
have a PhD or equivalent experience. You should also have good communication and organisational skills, be a team player, and have the ability to work independently and show initiative. You will be supervised by Dr Karolina Kluk, Prof. Chris Plack, and Dr
Kai Uus.</div>

<div>The project will involve software development and its validation, analysis of data as well as involvement in the written preparation of research findings for</div>
<div>presentations and publications. You would be expected to develop and optimize the software for use with normally hearing adults during the first year of the project. During the second year of the project you will be managing the software and optimizing
it for use with hearing-impaired patients. </div>

<div>Funding for this post is available for 24 months. The post is available from 1st October 2011 for 2 years.</div>
