The position starts earliest at October 1, 2012, and is for up to six years according to German temporary employment laws. Salary conforms to E 13 TV-L HU. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=Default><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:10.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=Default><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:10.0pt'>The Clinical Psychology unit led by Norbert Kathmann has a research focus in experimental psychopathology, especially the psychological and neurobiological fundamentals of obsessive compulsive and related disorders. We use EEG and event-related brain potentials, functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging, oculography, and transcranial magnetic stimulation as research methods. Candidates should be able to develop and supervise own research projects within this area. Teaching (4 hours per week; in German language) is an important part of the position. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=Default><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:10.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=Default><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:10.0pt'>Candidates must have a university degree (Diplom or Master) in Psychology and hold a PhD degree in Psychology or Neuroscience. Advanced skills in neuroscientific research methods are desired, specifically experience in applying EEG techniques (including ERPs, time-frequency analyses, ICA), and, ideally, (f)MRI and/or TMS.
