<p class="ecxMsoNormal">I am planning to do an experiment of an ‘oddball’ paradigm , as a pilot test for the new EEG system in our lab. If anyone can give me some guidance on the following questions that will be really helpful and very much appreciated.</p>

<p class="ecxMsoNormal">What is the usual practise used for the number of epochs to average to get the ERP? If we take , say three randomised runs of the oddball experiment for the same subject will averaging the extracted epochs from individual runs be valid
for the ERP?</p>

<p class="ecxMsoNormal">If anyone can direct me to some papers or references on experimental designs for ERP analysis that will be greatly appreciated.</p>
