<b>Hoglund Brain Imaging Center (HBIC) </b>at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) is seeking an experienced and qualified individual to serve as a
<b>Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF). </b>Under the supervision of Kathleen Gustafson, Ph.D., the individual will conduct postdoctoral-level research in all aspects of electrophysiology including data collection, analysis, grant writing, HSC submissions, preparing
and publishing scientific manuscripts and other research duties as assigned. We are seeking a candidate that is self-motivated and career-oriented.

Physiology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Physics, Engineering, Computing, Biochemistry, and Anatomy together in a highly collaborative and integrative environment to exploit new technologies for the study of the central nervous system. Specific research areas include
but are not limited to speech, language, and hearing, motor control, brain injury, and signal processing as well as longitudinal investigations of fetal movements, heart rate and heart rate variability which allow investigators to better understand fetal neurobehavioral<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<b>Maternal and Child Nutrition and Development Laboratory</b>. These studies focus on the effects of nutritional supplements taken during pregnancy or<b>
</b>delivered in infant formula. Investigations are focused on the effect of long-chain fatty acids (primarily docosahexaenoic<b>
</b>acid – DHA) on fetal/infant/child growth and development, including cognitive and visual acuity development as well as<b>
</b>ERPs and multi-modal imaging at later ages. This is a collaborative effort that involves Susan E. Carlson (Dietetics and Nutrition), John Colombo<b><o:p></o:p></b></span></p>
