I close EEGlab and reopen I get 10 warnings and then the following error:</span>

<div class="">I’m on Yosemite as well, and one quick and dirty workaround is:</div>

<div class="">and put something else instead of “10.10”, e.g. with “10.90” (which is obviously < 10.10 ;-) ) I managed to make 2012b run. </div>
<div class="">So now I’ve both 2012b and 2014b, and I change the mentioned file depending on the needs … waiting that the entire matlab “GUI” world (EEGLAB, but also SPM and some parts of fieldtrip) slowly patches all the figure handles from numbers to objects.</div>
<div class="">I think that mathworks should have put the option to keep the “old” graphic system (e.g. “matlab -hgVersion 1” would have been beneficial), at least for a couple of releases, to let people slowly pick up that big improvement …. anyway …</div>

Now I am able to run Matlab R2013 on the latest Mac OS.

I agree. However, the issue is that the latest version of Mac OS only supports Matlab R2014b. Maybe there is some trick to get R2014a to work, at the moment I get the message "You can’t open the application “MATLAB_R2014a” because it is not supported on this

<div class="">Hi again.... Simon.. as you well said.. that 'at least' allow to start EEGLAB, but there are more issues associated with the change of the handles from structures to objects, with the change of the default order of the colors in the plots, etc
... so... I think would be a good idea if we stay with the previous version of Matlab until we fix all the issues... at least to use EEGLAB.</div>
