One can do via the steps explained in the eeglab tutorial (plotting the data, and selecting periods with artifacts, and then rejecting those periods, then running ICA). Thus those periods will be excluded from ICA.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="color:rgb(51,51,153)">In other words, the data that is fed to ICA needs to be free of artifacts that ICA does not like (in other words, the periods can't be "just marked", they need to be removed).</div><div class="gmail_default" style="color:rgb(51,51,153)"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="color:rgb(51,51,153)">If you want to "just mark" periods with artifacts and then run ICA, you would require an eeglab/matlab expert to develop a special solution for you. </div><div class="gmail_default" style="color:rgb(51,51,153)"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="color:rgb(51,51,153)">If you are a beginner with eeglab, the first best steps for you are to use the eeglab tutorial data, do the eeglab tutorial steps, view eeglab summer school videos, etc..
