<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div>Hi Mahsa,<br><br></div>this may be due to your re-referencing. If you reference to the average of all channels, you need to reduce the number of components of your ICA decomposition by 1, since the rank of the data matrix has been reduced by 1. Depending on the specific algorithm you need to apply a flag which should be something like 'pcakeep' or the like and then enter '31'. Make sure to read the help texts of the function in advance! I can highly recommend AMICA by Jason Palmer. You can install it here: <a href="https://sccn.ucsd.edu/~jason/amica_web.html">https://sccn.ucsd.edu/~jason/amica_web.html</a><br><br></div>Best of luck,<br></div>Marius<br></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote">2017-10-09 20:17 GMT+02:00 mahsa shalchy <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:mahsa.shalchy@gmail.com" target="_blank">mahsa.shalchy@gmail.com</a>></span>:<br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr"><span style="font-size:12.8px">Dear Experts,</span><div style="font-size:12.8px"><br></div><div style="font-size:12.8px">I collected some data using Biosemi system (32 channels) and after doing pre-processing steps (resampling, filtering, re-referencing), I epoched the data and applied ICA. </div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><br></div><div style="font-size:12.8px">My problem is that, I'm getting two similar components in my ICA results (IC3 and IC4). </div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><br></div><div><span style="font-size:12.8px">I uploaded related images here:</span></div><div><span style="font-size:12.8px"><br><a href="https://www.dropbox.com/sh/etjkwjrse12lu5j/AABpJvKmKWY5n69eER1GrPGka?dl=0" target="_blank">https://www.dropbox.com/sh/<wbr>etjkwjrse12lu5j/<wbr>AABpJvKmKWY5n69eER1GrPGka?dl=0</a></span><br></div><div><span style="font-size:12.8px"><br></span></div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><br></div><div style="font-size:12.8px">Could you please help me with this?</div><div><br></div><div>Many thanks,</div><div>Mahsa</div></div>
