<p>Sorry to be filling your inboxes again, but we have a very
exciting announcement related to the upcoming IEEE SMC
Brain-Machine Interface Workshop. The workshop will feature a
meeting of 10 of the world's Brain Initiatives (Japan, China,
US (NSF, NIH), Israel, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Europe
(HBP), Canada, and IEEE.<br>

The President of IEEE, James Jefferies, plans to host and
participate in the Brain Initiatives meeting during the BMI
Workshop. Hank Greely, the President of INS (International
Neuroethics Society) also plans to attend. IEEE Standards and
representatives from the FDA are also expected to come. <br>
<br>
So far, the following global Brain Initiative representatives
and leaders who have confirmed that they are coming (the
others will be named later), and the countries they will
represent, are:<br>

Mu-ming Poo, Bo Xu (China),<br>
Jan Bjaalie, (Europe HBP)<br>
Sung-Jin Jeong (Korea),<br>

This should be an exciting event and we hope that you will be

Workshop CFP. <u><b>There is still time to submit proposals
for special sessions and your paper contributions! </b></u>Please
let me know if I can be of assistance with putting together a
special session proposal.</p>
