[Eeglablist] EEGLab - Single Epoch Spectral Analysis

Hello, 
 
I want to analyse a singel epoch with the time frequency transformation to get a spectral plot of the activity in this special period. Why is it not possible to do so. There are always two epochs needed to get a picture - what's the reason for this.
Can I find another way to analyse only one epoch?
