POSITION in NEUROIMAGING of HEARING LOSS
Center for Mind & Brain, University of California, Davis

Our neuroimaging laboratory seeks a postdoc or research assistant to 
study the neural bases of hearing loss and its remediation.  We use the 
most advanced fMRI, EEG, and behavioral techniques (see 
http://mindbrain.ucdavis.edu/labs/Miller/).  The RA/postdoc will 
coordinate all aspects of the project, including:
* recruit, schedule, screen, and train subjects
* conduct brain imaging (fMRI and high-density EEG) and psychophysical 
experiments
* analyze data
* prepare journal articles, grants, and presentations
* collaborate with industrial research partners

Qualifications:
* Clinical or research experience with hearing-impaired individuals 
preferred
* Bachelor’s degree for RA level; PhD or MD for postdoc level
* Basic quantitative competence, incl. statistics
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
* Computer experience, incl. some programming preferred
* MATLAB expertise and familiarity with Linux preferred

Position offers benefits and competitive salary:  postgraduate research 
assistant level starts at $32,628 annually; postdoc level uses NIH 
scales, starting at $36,996.  Open immediately, with preferred start 
date 1 Aug 2007 or earlier.  One year commitment preferred.  Please send
