[Eeglablist] ERPs from multiple events?

ok, perhaps a simpler question would be - is there a way to
conditionally substitute events in a record, using EEG lab? for
example: if events occur 1..2..3 then replace 3 with 10, or if
1...3...4... replace 3 with 9.

i'm still new to matlab, so maybe manipulating event files should be
done in a regexp or something, but i've seen a few places to examine
events / extract epochs in EEGLab, and i don't quite understand all
the options and workflow to target epochs in a flexible way.

thanks,
andrew
