[Eeglablist] Question Regarding Reading individual channels form datasets

Hello All 
I was wondering if there is a way to read individual channels from datasets created by EEGLab (as ".set" files), once they are written into the hard disk? Apparently the current function ("pop_loadset") only allows for reading the entire dataset from the hard disk. My data is very large and cannot be loaded at once, into a 32 bit operating system.
