Last time I looked the main issue with Emotiv was low resolution (128 
samples per second?), so maybe difficult to clear Nyquist frequency. But 
you are supposed to be able to output the raw signal data files if you 
get the developer version.

It is way more expensive but I opted for Nexus-10 from MindMedia but it 
only has 4 channels of EEG (but up to 2056 sps resolution) but also has 
6 channels of biodata channels. It is not wireless at the head however 
(but has bluetooth to computer).
