[Eeglablist] How do I export a file from a BioPac system into EEGlab?

Hi Neal,

There's also a load_acq.m available on the file exchange which you could try:
  http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/14562

A quick test on my computer:
  Matlab 2010b
  64 bit Linux (RHEL 6)
  525 MB .acq file
Used 500 MB of RAM to load.

I'm using a slightly old version of AcqKnowledge (4.1.1) but I find that the Biopac Matlab export (File / Save As / .mat) stops working if the recording is too big. It just creates an empty .mat file instead, and I've never got to the bottom as to why. I normally do an EDF export in AcqKnowledge and load this using EEGlab, and have never had any problems. How big are your files?

Best regards,

Alex

Dear Neal,

EEGLAB can read BIOPAC files when they are exported to Matlab (from the BIOPAC interface).
Use menu item Import Data > Using EEGLAB functions and plugins > Import BIOPAC MATLAB files. Only in EEGLAB v11 though.
Best,

Arno
