The 2013 Workshop on Neurobionics in clinical neurology is jointly
conducted by University of Göttingen, Forschungszentrum Jülich, and RWTH
Aachen, Germany along with Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical
Education & Research (JIPMER), one of the top five medical schools in
India. The workshop will be held at JIPMER in Pondicherry, a union
territory town in southern India on the shores of the Bay of Bengal.

Objectives
The goal is to promote interaction between senior and junior researchers
from India and Germany, to educate new members of the neurobionics
community in India, to introduce new enabling fields and applications to
the community, to promote on-going collaborative activities emerging from
the Workshop, and to promote a self-sustaining neurobionics research field
in India.

Summary of the activities
A two-and-half-day intensive workshop, with the first day focusing on the
non-invasive brain stimulation techniques, the second day focusing on deep
brain stimulation, spinal stimulation, functional MR imaging, neurofeedback
and neurorehabilitation, and the third half-day on panel discussions on
long-term Indo-German research collaboration in the field of neurobionics.
