[Eeglablist] ERP based on mulitple triggers

Dear Makoto:

Thank you so much for the reply, they are very helpful.
When we have channels for eye movements and EKG artifact, and we know there are artifacts from the comparisons with these two channels, how to get rid of the artifacts from the brain electrodes? I guess my question is: how to use the EKG and eye movement channels to get rid of the artifacts from eye movements and EKG?
Thank you,
Best,

Xianghong

Dear Xianghong,

You don't need to exclude them. If you do anyways, 'Edit'-'Select data' and specify the channels to remove.

If you are going to process them with STUDY, you don't need to reject ICs manually.

Our 'STUDY' uses the following criteria to select good ICs: a) equivalent current dipole residual variance < 15%, which means you have to fit dipoles after ICA; b) dipole position inside the brain.

That I don't know. I've heard you need to have a sensor matrix also?

Hi,

I have studied and used eeglab for a few months, and need some help with the basic question about preprocessing EEG data:
1. when we have channels for eye movement and EKG artifact, how to get rid of them?
2. How to decide the component to get rid of after we did ICA?

Plus, I saw eeglab could also analyse MEG data. Do we need to download plugins for eeglab? Where?

Thanks,
Best,

Xianghong
