[Eeglablist] .CNT files with no header (Matt Craddock)

Have you been able to read in the .cnt file? In the appendix of the EDIT manual of the SynAmps2 it says that:
Actual data begins immediately after the header for .EEG, .AVG, and .CNT files. Thus, the offset to the beginning of data is 900 (=sizeof(SETUP)) + 75 (=sizeof(ELECTLOC)) * erp.nchannels bytes.
If your header information is lost completely for this dataset, it should start after the number of bytes indicated by the above formula. Maybe you can find more relevant information in the SynAmps2 manual.
Hope that helps,

> Dear list,
> During a recent recording with the Neuroscan SynAmps2 system, the Scan software crashed straight to desktop when I pressed Stop Recording. While the EEG data was clearly recorded, the resulting .CNT file has no header information, so I can't load it using the standard EEGLAB commands. Anybody got any suggestions? I can get most of the header information from similar files, but what's not so easy to figure out is how many frames there are exactly, and where exactly in the file they start.
