[Eeglablist] merge data sets

Hi friends,
I am looking for method to efficiently (i.g., "fast" of "few steps") merge two EEG data sets. 
my first solution is using  "pop_mergeset" function :  EEG = pop_mergeset( EEG1, EEG2, 1);
which means first, i have to load files and save them into different *set files and in second step load set files and use "pop_mergeset" function. 
Do you suggest another method?
