Hi EEGLab List

I want to present an available postdoctoral position in the Wallis Lab, at the University of California Berkeley.

Postdoctoral position available
An NIH-funded post-doctoral appointment is available to study the neurophysiology underlying goal-directed behavior, decision-making, reward processing and executive control.
Our research uses sophisticated behavioral paradigms combined with the latest recording systems, which enables the simultaneous monitoring of large numbers of individual neurons in the awake, behaving subject. Our lab is part of the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute and Department of Psychology, and we collaborate with the extensive number of frontal lobe researchers on campus and colleagues in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences.
The postdoctoral fellow is expected to have strong work ethic, excellent organizational and communication skills, and critical thinking abilities. Candidates must have a Ph.D., and those with a background in either psychology or neuroscience are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience with MATLAB or C++ is desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience, within the U.C. Berkeley Postdoctoral Scholar salary range.
Staff Research Associate position available
A Staff Research Associate position is available. The associate will be expected to perform laboratory procedures to support on-going neurophysiological experiments and to assist in preparing for surgeries. They will also be responsible for maintenance of inventory, ordering of supplies and ensuring that all research is compliant with regulations.
Applicants are expected to have a strong work ethic and excellent organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of working in a laboratory environment and good fine manipulation skills are both desirable.
To apply for either of the above positions, please send a cover letter and curriculum vita to wallislab.apply at gmail.com. In your cover letter, please make it clear which position you are applying for and indicate how you initially found out about this job advertisement.

The University of California is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer with a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of diversity among its faculty and staff.
