benefits will be based in NUS standards and candidates’ qualifications and
years in service.
*Research Topic*
• Our group is leading a project aiming to develop virtual reality
(VR)-based brain augmentation systems including realistic VR based
simulations and real-time brain states analysis. The simulation
applications will be developed (in Unity3D Game Engineer) for virtual
reality system to provide various stimuli. A remote EEG system will be used
to monitor the brain activity in real time.
• The aims of the study is to identify reliable and robust individual
biomarkers of cognitive states for VR-based training scenarios and compare
the training effects with traditional 2-Dimensional computer based
simulations to understand if VR-based trainings lead to better
user-experience and performance.
*Scientific profile for the Research Fellow Position*
• Recent Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction or
Cognitive Science
• Publications in Computational Intelligence and Machine Learning Methods
and/or Brain Computer Interaction with applications
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Knowledge of experimental design in cognitive-related experiments.
*Scientific profile for the Research Assistant Position*
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Experience of game research or game development (experience of VR
