Hello Francesca, some notes below best wishes.

***************************************

This is an unusual problem, and there's probably just an issue with your
file, the gui settings, or the specific function you have chosen.
Biosemi data usually loads fine, at least for EDF files I've worked with.

Review closely the code/settings/documentation for the pop_biosig
documentation, and try changing the defaults.

You may play around with the different options with the Biosig import
function in eeglab, as well as other import functions such as pop_fileio

You may want to play around with and/or change some of the defaults in each
testing you do.

When and if you load in the data, try also running a 1 hz filter on the
file, as the other channels may be hiding.

You may also want to try to save out the biosemi files in a different
possibly better/easier to read format.

Alternatively, you could also email a few researchers who recorded with
Biosemi and then used eeglab in publications. A few emails to them could
get you your answer quicker.

Last if you have no success, you can try sending a small example file.
ps. google eeglablist and your topic if you have not had a chance to yet,
as it is likely that another previous user has bumped into same isse
