We are seeking a study coordinator in Sara Mednick’s Sleep and Cognition (
SaC) Lab at UC Irvine. This can be either one full-time or two half-time
positions. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in psychology or
related area, computer skills (Matlab programming knowledge is a plus), and
sleep technician skills. Duties include recruiting and running subjects,
managing undergraduate research assistants, overseeing day-to-day
operations including maintaining a large corpus of data from EEG, ECG,
functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and behavioral measures,
submission of IRB protocols, and helping with data analysis. Experience in
a sleep lab is necessary. This position includes the opportunity to acquire
skill on a variety of research methods and techniques, along with mentoring
of undergrad and graduate students.



Preference will be given to those with prior related research experiences
and/or management experience. The position is to start at the beginning of
September 2018 (with some flexibility). We are looking for someone
interested in making a long-term commitment to the lab.
