Dear list,

I have a question about removing segments of EEG data before filtering or
any further processing steps;

I have continous EEG data, I imported the raw data into EEGLAB and removed
fragments of data which included high amplitude noise.Then, I rejected bad
channels and filtered the data.
By removing noisy fragments, boundaries were marked on data.
My question is that does it affect further analysis of data such as phase
locking value (PLV) calculation specifically at boundaries after filtering
the data? And how can we can overcome this issue?

This situation is the same as in epoched data.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Best,
Ali
