Thanks for sharing your eventual solution with eeglablist so that other
users can benefit from your experience.
*******************************************************************
- Make sure you are loading the correct channel information. One often
needs to do so manually after importing the data, by loading a channel
locations files via Edit Channel Locations in eeglab gui.
- Make sure you are using the appropriate import function.
- Confirm how many channels exactly are in the Brain vision data (should
be 31)
- Double check that you are correct that the BV cap was using Fz as
reference (and not mastoids, etc..)
- Confirm that you can't export from brainvision with 32 channels
(including the Fz reference)
- Confirm how many channels eeglab thinks it has imported (if 31 but you
can't see them all when you plot the data, try highpass filtering the data
at 1Hz to begin with, do you see all 31 then?)
- Plot the channel locations in 2D and 3D to confirm that eeglab is
loading channel locations correclty (or not)
- As the data is already recorded relative to reference, there seems no
need to tell eeglab what the reference is, nor to import the Fz ref
channel
- If one wants to "add an Fz channel", then one can can create a new
empty channel, name it Fz, and interpolate to create estimated data for
that channel
- Check with Brainvision support as they most likely have a clear
solution path for your question, as surely other BV cap users bump into
similar questions when importing into eeglab.
- google eeglablist + your topic/keywords for past similar questions on
eeglablist
