Position: Postdoctoral Researcher

Recruitment Period:  Open until 20th May

A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available at the Psychological Neuroscience Lab at the "Centro de Investigação em Psicologia" of the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal. The position duration is for 24 months with a competitive salary according to the cost of living in Portugal. The position is within an ongoing project intended to Boost Executive Functions in the Elderly using non-invasive transcranial electrical stimulation (tES). tES protocols are applied in combination with electroencephalographic (EEG) recordings. Thus, tES effects on behavioral performance and brain activity related to executive functions (inhibition of proactive interference) will be assessed.  Additionally, since several protocols are being used and their effects contrasted, conditions maximizing the beneficial effects of tES will be identified.

Requirements:  The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. with research experience in the cognitive neuroscience of aging. Albeit the position is framed in an ongoing project the selected researcher will be expected to start and carry out his/her own projects and work with other researchers and students of the lab.
