*UT Arlington COSMOS Center Ph.D. Positions for Spring 2020 *

*Position Information:* *multiple Ph.D. positions* are open for Spring 2020
at the Center on Stochastic Modeling, Optimization, & Statistics (COSMOS) at
the University of Texas at Arlington. The research directions will be
focused on *Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning research *with
applications to healthcare informatics, precision medicine, intelligent
decision-making systems, computational neuroscience, and smart healthcare
systems. Graduate students with a *strong quantitative background and
computational skills *are encouraged to apply. Desirable applicants may
have a background in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or other
related fields. A Master degree in related fields is preferred; outstanding
undergraduate students will also be considered. Previous research
experiences in related fields and publications in journals/conferences are
