Hello

Could you please distribute this job opportunity to the EEGLAB list:

We are seeking an experienced clinical neurophysiologist to work on a collaborative health research project to improve pain assessment in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) around the world. The aim is to develop a machine learning algorithm that can discriminate pain related distress from other forms of distress in infants using electroencephalography (EEG) and other physiological measures.
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of neurophysiologists, neuroscientists, statisticians and neonatologists at UCL and carry out non-invasive recordings of electrophysiological activity (EEG) in premature and term infants. The work will be cross-disciplinary involving neurophysiology, statistical analysis and neonatology at UCLH and at our partner hospital in Toronto Canada.
The main responsibilities of the appointee will be to record and report high quality EEG and evoked potentials (EPs) at the bedside in preterm infants from 28 weeks gestational age and term infants, obtain consent from their parents, prepare data for analysis and maintain a comprehensive and secure database of the study information.
The post is available from January 2020 and is funded for 24 months in the first instance.
For informal queries about this post, please contact Professor Maria Fitzgerald, m.fitzgerald at ucl.ac.uk<mailto:m.fitzgerald at ucl.ac.uk>.
