A postdoctoral research positions(2 years) is immediately available at the Northwestern Cognitive OculomotorOptimization Laboratory, under the direction of Drs. Daniel Corcos and FabianDavid in the Northwestern Department of Physical Therapy & Human MovementSciences. The primary focus of the lab is to understand the mechanism of actionof deep brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus in the context of movementand cognition in patients with Parkinson’s disease. We use a combination of invasivesubthalamic nucleus recordings, non invasive high density EEG, and behavioraltasks using eye and limb movements in patients with Parkinson’s disease. 
The successful candidates isexpected to be a team player and collaborate closely with other team members atNorthwestern and with our external collaborators to develop and validate dataacquisition protocols, behavioral testing, advanced image and signal analyses,and interpretation. The candidate will also be expected to report algorithmsand experimental findings through peer reviewed publications. In addition,opportunities to develop research proposals under direct mentorship from the PIwill be provided. 

Requirements include: 1) an interest in the therapeutic mechanismsof deep brain stimulation across motor and cognitive networks, 2) A PhD inNeuroscience, Engineering, Physics, or Data Science, or a related field, 3) Proficiencyin Matlab and/or Python, 4) Experience with electrophysiological signalanalysis (EEG and LFPs) with a strong quantitative and theoretical skill set, and5) excellent writing skills. The position is open until filled.
