To make a leading contribution to a project aiming to create a machine learning system for EEG based predictors of central neuropathic pain in people with subacute spinal cord injury working with Dr Aleksandra Vučković at the Rehabilitation Engineering group and in collaboration with the Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit, Glasgow. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in machine learning and in EEG analysis and advanced programming skills. A practical experience with using EEG equipment is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with the standard for medical software design ISO 62304 is desirable. Good communications skills are required.
The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow. Salary will be on the University's Research and Teaching Grade, level 7, £35,845 - £40,322 per annum.
