The Department of Psychological Science in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas is accepting applications for Research Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the PI and collaborators to coordinate and implement research program activities.

The Project coordinator will work productively and collaboratively with a wide variety of people to address the primary objective of the research project leveraging creative thinking and problem solving in a variety of time-bound scenarios using behavioral and neurophysiological (EEG) methodology.

The position will oversee all research administration including pre and post award management, preparation of progress reports, and managing budgets. The position oversees research activities and provides guidance to investigators regarding compliance with institution, state, and federal regulations for the responsible conduct of research, including research that involves human subjects.

The Research Project Coordinator analyzes quantitative data to fulfill study aims, supports grant development by working on proposals, submissions, protocols, grant writing, and other related tasks, and participates in the creation of communications, publications, and other key documents regarding research activities. The position ensures completion of study activities per protocol including recruitment, obtains informed consent, administers, schedules and scores tests, and will be involved in administrative procedures.

The position manages lab/study budget and inventory including purchasing of supplies and services ensuring that they are necessary, reasonable, and project related. Orders and maintains inventory of supplies. The Research Project Coordinator acts as a mentor in regard to education of junior coordinators, and performs other duties as assigned.

The is a one-year appointment, renewable for up to three years based on the need for the position, availability of funding, and continued satisfactory level of performance in the role.

Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences (sociology, psychology, and/or neuroscience) conferred by the time of appointment


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience conducting research and analyzing data
  *
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through oral and written mediums
  *
Experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing research data
  *
Experience developing, administering, and managing budgets
  *
Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  *
Experience providing strategic leadership
  *
Experience preparing presentations, writing scripts, and speeches
  *
Coding experience
  *
Demonstrated working knowledge of statistical packages such as SPSS or R
  *
Demonstrated working knowledge and previous experience with EEG methodology
  *
Supervisory or project management experience
