Organization is well underway for the 2023 IEEE SMC Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) Workshop, to be held in Maui, Hawaii, USA from October 1-4, 2023 in hybrid format. Already confirmed are the BR41N.IO BCI hackathon, ceremony of the 2023 International BCI Award, and a keynote speech by Dr. Ming Hou on the Frontiers of Brain-Inspired Autonomous Systems. Several other panels, keynote speakers, and events for early-career researchers and industry members are also being planned, including poster sessions based on submitted abstracts. This year you will have the option of submitting a full paper (up to 6 pages, will be peer-reviewed and subjected to a 60% acceptance rate, presented orally, and will appear in IEEE Xplore), as well as abstracts (reviewed by workshop TPC chairs, will appear only on workshop website, presented as a poster).
