A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available within the
Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroimaging and Stimulation (CNS:

Lab is to develop new brain-based interventions aimed to correct the
aberrant reward processes that sustain substance use disorders. The lab
currently seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate with strong interest and
background in addiction neuroscience, neuroimaging, and brain stimulation
to contribute to these studies. Specific duties of this position include
acquisition and analysis of MRI and EEG data, apply robot-guided TMS, and
overall study coordination including subject recruitment, research
assistant training, and manuscript preparation. Start-date: September, 2023
(or earlier). Two-year appointment. An extension to 3-5 years is possible
and contingent on continued funding and research performance and scholarly
productivity. Appointment would be situated within the CNS Lab in the
Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience in Rutgers
University-Newark.

Duties

The candidate will perform TMS studies on reward processing and decision
making based on a combination of electrophysiology (EEG) and imaged-guided
robotic-TMS in human volunteers. Minimum Requirements: Ph.D in psychology,
cognitive neuroscience, addiction neuroscience, neuroimaging and/or related
field, with a prior background in at least one of the following areas:
functional and structural MRI, human electrophysiology, and computational
modeling. Experience with brain stimulation approaches (TMS) is desired,
but training available Command of programming tools such as Matlab, R,
Linux, and Python is desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication
skills. Demonstrated experience in experimental design, human-subjects
research, and statistical analysis.

Salary & Benefits:  Salary is commensurate with skills and experience and
will be guided by NIH fellowship salary bands.  Rutgers University offers a
