My lab in the Neurology Department at UCLA is seeking a full-time Laboratory Manager / Research Assistant to provide support for ongoing research investigating electrophysiological mechanisms of movement and gait in patients with Parkinson's disease and other Movement Disorders. We use a variety of techniques in controlled and naturalistic settings, including: EEG, intracranial recordings from deep brain stimulation devices, functional and structural MRI, virtual reality and motion capture.
Applicants seeking additional research experience in preparation for graduate school are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include patient recruitment, screening and scheduling; coordination of multiple projects and team members; regulatory submissions and compliance; administration of cognitive and neuropsychological tests; electrophysiology and imaging data collection and data entry; maintenance of study documents; electrophysiology or neuroimaging data analysis depending on interest and skills.

Qualifications & requirements:

  *   Minimum 2 year commitment with possibility of extension
  *   Bachelor's or higher in Psychology, Neuroscience, Data science or related field
  *   Superior communication skills
  *   Previous experience with human neuroscience research, functional imaging and/or electrophysiology is desirable
