Quantum Applied Science & Research (QUASAR), Inc. is conducting a survey to gather insights from EEG researchers and clinicians on the challenges of EEG recordings with individuals who have hair types and/or styles that make it difficult to access the scalp.

Traditional EEG methods often don’t meet the needs of those with tightly curled hair or high-density hairstyles, which can limit access to the scalp and affect EEG quality. This exclusion has resulted in underrepresentation of Black individuals in EEG studies and disparities in medical care.

In partnership with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), QUASAR is working to develop technologies that enhance EEG accessibility for individuals with diverse hair types and styles, ultimately improving representation in both research and clinical settings.

We are seeking your feedback on the challenges you’ve encountered and the solutions you have implemented to address these issues. Your insights will be crucial in developing EEG technologies that are inclusive and effective for all participants.

Survey Duration: 2-3 minutes
