[Eeglablist] Including interaction with condition with two datasets per participant

It does say "the job has failed" for most of the comparisons.
Files are renamed prior to loading into STUDY, so this should not be the reason for any issues (and was not an issue when I ran the analysis treating the sessions as between subjects).
I was able to carry out the analysis before that way, where on each session/condition each participant had a different subject name and relationship was coded as a group, so it was treated like a between subjects factor. All I'm trying to do now is to update the analysis to a full within subjects design.
Thank you,
Agata

Is it only warnings or does it fail?
The warning says > pulling trials for sub-Hs481a-word_selection_receiver_renamed_ses-1_design1.set ...
> Warning: couldn't find a direct match between .set and .daterp, loading C:Userseeg-analysis2Study NewStrangersHs481a-word_selection_receiver_renamed_ses-01.daterp
Likely because you renamed the .set file but if you load it and check the EEG structure maybe EEG.filename has not been changed. ?

Hi Cyril,
Yes, that's right. There are 2 datasets per subject and they are assigned to session 1 or session 2.
Note that I want to exclude some data based on the quality (so that e.g., subject 1 will only have session 1 and subject 2 will only have session 2), but this error persists even when there are no exclusions.
Additionally, there is a separate Condition name which is counterbalanced with Session (sometimes session 1 will be in condition 1, sometimes in condition 2 and vice versa for session 2). The other 2 variables, language and valence, are within subjects and within sessions (i.e., each dataset has 2 languages and 2 valence types).
Hope this is clear, please let me know if you have any advice on how to proceed.
Best wishes,
Agata

Hi Agata
it has not even reached any modelling or comparison, purely an issue in
STUDY. Just to clarify, you can only have 1 dataset per session, each
subject has 2 datasets and you indicate those as session 1 and session
2. Is that correct?

> After creating .daterp files, in the 1st level analysis, the programme produces errors: "couldn't find a direct match between .set and .daterp". It appears that the comparison of the two is not made based on participant name but on the order in which they are loaded, and even though they are loaded in chronological order, the comparisons are made between dataset 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, then 2-3, 2-4, etc. I'm not sure why that happens, because I even ensured that the subject names and dataset names are the same so there is no doubt which data comes from which subject. The error produced is pasted below:
