Hello,
I am working with EEG data recorded with a 128-channel Easycap montage, and
I am having difficulties mapping the electrode numbers to the correct
electrode names.
I load the data from a .fif format, where electrodes are referenced as
EEG001, EEG002, ..., EEG128. By plotting the channel locations, I realised
the numbers are dispatched on the scalp completely differently from the
picture in the datasheet, as well as being shifted & rotated.
I would like to properly name the electrodes with standard 10-based names
as they are given in the datasheet, to then use the EEGLAB function to
locate each channel with the software's coordinate system. Is the best
approach to visually determine the channel number mapping by plotting the
channel locations and comparing them to the picture on the datasheet? Or is
there a more principled approach to solving this?

I would greatly appreciate it if you have an idea of what I can try to do.
Thank you very much!
Best wishes
