We are seeking a highly motivated and talented scientist to join our team at dsm-firmenich Science & Research as Postdoc for 3 years. This role will focus on understanding the mechanisms of olfactory learning in humans. The successful candidate will contribute to innovative research (mostly using EEG) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  *   Design and conduct innovative research studies on odor learning.
  *   Analyze behavioral, physiological, and neuroimaging data.
  *   Identify and implement innovative research methods, data analyses approaches and tools to scale-up laboratory research to consumer science (e.g. Shiny apps, dashboards, etc.).
  *   Present research findings to a broad audience.
You Bring:

  *   Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field.
  *   3 years research experience in chemoperception, perception, OR cognition with a focus on cutting-edge research methods corroborated by a track record of scientific publications.
  *   Proficiency in behavioral and one or more neuroscientific methods (e.g., M/EEG, peripheral physiology).
  *   Proficiency in advanced statistical analysis incl. machine learning and programming (e.g., R, Python, Matlab).
  *   Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  *   Affinity for hands-on research and solving technical puzzles.
  *   Excellent organizational skills.
  *   Experience with odor stimulation will be a plus.
