** Apologies for any cross-posting **
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the IEEE SMC Brain–Machine Interface (BMI) Workshop 2026, which will take place in person in Bellevue, Washington, USA, from October 4-7, 2026. The BMI Workshop is part of the annual international conference of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC) Society. All accepted and presented papers will appear in the IEEE Xplore conference proceedings and be indexed in Scopus/Ei Compendex.
We also welcome proposals for Special Sessions, which are due February 8, 2026.
We recognize that some researchers may face travel barriers beyond their control (e.g., visa challenges). We encourage you not to let this deter you from submitting your work. Online participation will be available for authors who are unable to travel to Bellevue; further details will be provided as the conference date approaches. In addition, depending on submission patterns across regions, we may consider satellite events to further support an in-person conference experience.
Please help support the workshop by circulating this call to colleagues or students who may be interested in submitting their work. A summary of key information is included below. And the Call for Papers can be found here<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.ieeesmc.org/bmi/wp-content/uploads/sites/28/2025/11/CFP-IEEE-SMC-2026-BMI.pdf__;!!Mih3wA!BTTgikYRkHvEHJM6ko3k8InXEwE_HdXy0EyXvRKpLHOi8B375uGOLz_6OaEzhX2LO6fHX6yY02tAdf97_0YdF6M-Pg$ >.
We look forward to receiving your submissions, and to seeing you in Bellevue!
