Dear colleagues,
We are writing from the Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center
(CIMCYC) at the University of Granada (Spain) to announce an upcoming
full-time postdoctoral researcher position within the project TEMPO –
TEMporal Predictive brain under exercise-induced arOusal.
The TEMPO project will investigate how temporal predictions are
influenced by physiological arousal states induced by physical exercise.
We will work within a Bayesian inference framework, combining temporal
tasks, controlled manipulations of arousal through cycling on a cycle
ergometer, EEG and peripheral physiological measures.
We offer a full-time postdoctoral contract of 1 year, renewable for a
second year (subject to positive evaluation).
We are looking for candidates with a PhD in cognitive or computational
neuroscience, psychology, or related disciplines (e.g., computer
science, biomedical engineering, data science applied to neuroscience);
solid experience with EEG; familiarity (even basic) with exercise
physiology or psychophysiology measures is appreciated but not strictly
required; ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and international
environments; strong commitment to open science (preregistration,
version control, sharing of data and code on OSF/Zenodo or similar
platforms); on-site presence in Granada and good command of English
(knowledge of Spanish is highly valued or to be acquired during the
contract); availability to start in March/April 2026.

excellence and provides multi-year funding to strengthen research,
advanced training, open science and knowledge transfer to society. It
hosts numerous research groups in cognitive neuroscience, experimental
psychology, social psychology, psychobiology, neuropsychology and
related disciplines, with an intense programme of seminars, workshops
and international summer schools.
For any scientific or organisational questions about the project and the
CIMCYC environment, you can contact the PIs Mariagrazia Capizzi
