Dear all,
We are pleased to invite applications for Consciousness Commons: Building Collaborative Science with Open Consciousness Data, a two-day satellite workshop following ASSC 2026.
📍 Location: Santiago, Chile
📅 Dates: July 4–5, 2026
Consciousness Commons is designed for early-career researchers interested in collaborative and open approaches to consciousness science. Participants will work in interdisciplinary teams to develop hypothesis-driven research projects using openly available datasets (including those from the Cogitate consortium<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.arc-cogitate.com/__;!!Mih3wA!DPirfE5PHlRP0IBG3o6XozxCYa73EqDyAJzfrrXG8jk2BTBjRZqo81PZVrrN12t_aEvRtW6T_Am0UJpmEX7Rc6YaLn4n$ >), with a strong focus on reproducibility and preregistration.
By the end of the workshop, each team will have produced a preregistered research plan, and projects will be eligible to compete for $25,000 in seed funding to support further development.
