Paris, August 21st 2026
Dear colleagues,
We would like to inform you that there are still a few spots available for
the training workshop dedicated to non-invasive brain stimulation
techniques (TMS, tES), including emerging methods such as tTIS and tFUS.
The registration deadline has therefore been extended tomidnight on
September 2nd.
As a reminder, the workshop will be held from October 7 to 9, 2026, at the
Brain Institute (ICM) in Paris. It is primarily aimed at researchers in
training (master’s, PhD, and postdoctoral students), as well as more
experienced researchers and clinicians considering the use of these methods
in their projects. Designed as a small-scale event (limited to 20
participants), it will include theoretical courses and two invited
lectures, while also providing extensive hands-on training on the ICM’s
CENIR PANAM platform and discussions about the participants’ projects. A
provisional program is attached.
The workshop is organized by the "Brainstim-Neurotech" collective in
collaboration with the CENIR PANAM platform at the ICM. This collective
originated from the network for which some of you were approached last year
as part of the CNRS call for the creation of Réseaux Thématiques. Although
we have not yet received official CNRS accreditation, we wished to continue
our efforts to unite the French community by gathering for this first
scientific event.
To register, please contact us by September 2, 2026, at the following
address: collectif.brainstim at gmail.com, attaching a CV, a letter of
motivation, and a brief summary of your current or upcoming research
involving brain stimulation. Once the selection process is complete, we
will contact you in mid-September and provide the link to finalize your
registration (fee: 130 euros).
We hope this workshop will provide a wonderful first opportunity for our
community to meet and exchange ideas. Please feel free to share or share
again this information with anyone who may be interested in participating.
Best regards,
Antoni Valero-Cabré, Gregor Thut, Estelle Raffin, and Sylvain Harquel, on
behalf of the Brainstim-Neurotech collective,
Charlotte Rosso, Lina Daghsen, and Jean-Charles Lamy, on behalf of the
CENIR PANAM platform, ICM, Paris
